This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you use our websites (including https://www.alitec.sg), products, services, mobile and web applications, and when you interact with us (collectively, the "Services"). It also explains the choices and rights you may have and how to contact us.
Important for Meta users: This policy applies to any data we receive from Meta Platforms technologies (e.g., Facebook Login, Meta Graph APIs, Instagram Basic Display/API, WhatsApp Business Platform) when you use our integrations or otherwise interact with our content or pages on Meta products. We comply with Meta’s Platform Terms and policies and process such data only as permitted.

2) Scope of this policy
This policy covers personal data processed by Alitec in connection with:
- Visitors to our website(s) and landing pages.
- Customers and prospective customers using our products/services (e.g., Odoo implementations, support, integrations, and related consulting).
- Users who interact with our social media pages, ads, and messaging channels (including those operated on Meta Platforms technologies) or who authenticate with / connect their Meta account(s) to our Services.
This policy does not apply to third‑party websites, services, or applications that we do not control. Where we process personal data on behalf of a customer (as a processor), our processing is governed by our agreement with that customer.
3) Personal data we collect
We collect personal data in the following categories:
A. Data you provide to us
- Contact details (name, company, role/title, email address, phone number, mailing address).
- Account/profile details (username, password, preferences).
- Business information (project context, requirements, billing details).
- Content of communications (enquiries, tickets, feedback, call recordings where permitted by law and with notice).
B. Data we collect automatically
- Device and usage data (IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages visited, referral/exit pages, time stamps, interactions, approximate location from IP).
- Cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies for analytics, preferences, fraud prevention, and advertising (see Cookies below).
C. Data we receive from third parties
- Meta Platforms technologies (where you choose to connect or interact): Depending on the product and permissions you grant, we may receive your public profile information (e.g., name, profile picture), user ID, email, page/profile IDs and names you manage, page access tokens (scoped and time‑bound), content/insights/metrics for pages or assets you connect, and messaging metadata required for delivering customer support or automation. We do not request or store your password for any Meta product and we do not sell this data.
- Partners and service providers (e.g., CRM, analytics, payment processors).
We will only request Meta permissions necessary for the feature you use, and we process Meta‑derived data according to Meta’s policies and this Privacy Policy.
4) Legal bases for processing (where applicable)
Depending on your location, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases: (i) your consent; (ii) performance of a contract or pre‑contractual steps; (iii) our legitimate interests (e.g., to secure, improve, and market our Services); (iv) compliance with legal obligations; and (v) establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
5) How we use personal data
We use personal data to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and maintain our Services.
- Respond to enquiries, provide quotations, fulfill orders, and deliver support.
- Enable integrations you choose (e.g., Facebook Login, Instagram/Pages APIs, WhatsApp Business Platform) and perform the requested actions (e.g., syncing content, responding to messages, analytics/insights dashboards).
- Personalize and improve our Services and marketing.
- Send administrative messages, service notices, and—where permitted—marketing communications (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms.
- Comply with laws and enforce agreements.
6) When we share personal data
We share personal data only with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf under contract (e.g., hosting, cloud infrastructure, analytics, communications, customer support, payment processing). They must follow our instructions and protect the data.
- Integration partners where you choose to connect a third‑party service (e.g., Meta Platforms technologies, Google, Odoo.sh). The third party’s own terms/policies apply to their use of your data.
- Professional advisors (e.g., auditors, legal counsel) under confidentiality.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers in connection with a restructuring, merger, or sale, subject to appropriate protections.
We do not sell personal data.
7) International transfers
We are based in Singapore and may transfer personal data to countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., contracts with standard data protection clauses) and take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection.
8) Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, including to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Meta‑derived tokens and data are retained only for the feature’s operation and are deleted or anonymised when no longer needed or when you disconnect the integration.
9) Your rights and choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, update, object to processing, restrict processing, portability, withdraw consent, and request deletion of your personal data. To exercise your rights, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10) Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, preferences, analytics, and—where permitted—advertising. You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not function properly without certain cookies.
11) Security
We implement technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, logging). No security system is impenetrable; if we discover a breach that affects your data, we will notify you and/or regulators as required by law.
12) Children’s privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from such children. 13) Meta‑specific disclosures
When you use features that interact with Meta Platforms technologies:
- We process your information as a data controller (or, in some cases, processor for our customer) solely to provide the feature you requested (e.g., login, page analytics, messaging support) and in accordance with Meta’s policies.
- We will only use Meta data on your behalf for the specific purpose for which it was provided; we do not combine it with data from other apps or sell it to third parties.
- We will delete Meta data upon your request or when it is no longer needed for the stated purpose, and we will respect settings you configure within your Meta account.
- You can disconnect access at any time via your Meta account or by contacting us at [email protected].
Data deletion: To request deletion of data obtained via Meta integrations, please email [email protected] with the subject “Meta Data Deletion Request” and include your name, the app/feature used, and the relevant account or page ID. We will confirm and complete deletion in accordance with applicable laws and Meta’s requirements.
Optional self‑service: If available in the app, you may also use an in‑product Delete My Data function to initiate deletion.
14) Third‑party links and services
Our Services may link to third‑party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies; please review them.
15) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be notified via the website or by email where appropriate.
